What does “Between The Pond and the Woods” mean? 

This site’s name has meaning on three different levels. First, it describes the literal place where the author lives: a writing retreat that lies between a photogenic fishing pond and the edge of the Pocono forest. Second, it is the title of a memoir that is waiting patiently for a kiss from the right publisher. Finally, on a metaphorical level, the title refers to the span of life which occurs between conception (the gestational pond) and death (woods=ashes to ashes).

What is the purpose of the “Between the Ponds and the Woods” website?

This site was developed to help family caregivers of dementia patients find resources to help them care for their loved ones. Resources include items as diverse as information on dementia treatments and virtual hugs.

Who is the author of the site?
